ASTER 6th Sense Exploring Collective Intelligence

What happens when individual capabilities come together through coordination, diversity, shared purpose, knowledge and adaptability?

The ASTER 6th Sense simulator explores how these factors may influence collective performance, the value generated through cooperation, and the costs of coordination.

This is an exploratory conceptual model, not yet empirically validated. Its results illustrate mathematical scenarios based on defined assumptions, not proven predictions of real-world behaviour.

Our goal is to turn these hypotheses into testable questions and explore how collective intelligence can create meaningful human, social and environmental impact.

Through ASTER-WAY and the Spark Index, we seek to understand not only how we work better together, but what we can achieve together in the service of life.

One Planet. One Humanity. One Future.

The system adapts to humanity — not humanity to the system.

A Simple Scenario: What Makes a Team Smarter?

Imagine two teams working towards the same goal: helping children access new learning opportunities.

Team A — Individual Effort

Each person brings valuable skills and knowledge, but coordination is limited. Efforts overlap, information is fragmented, and opportunities for collaboration are missed.

Team B — Collective Intelligence

The team brings together diverse skills, shares knowledge, coordinates its actions and works towards a common purpose.

Both teams have valuable individual capabilities. The difference lies in how effectively they combine them.

The question: Could better coordination help Team B achieve more with the same resources?

Use the simulator to explore how coordination, diversity, shared purpose, knowledge and adaptability may influence collective performance.

This is an illustrative scenario, not an empirical result. The simulator explores a hypothesis; real-world evidence is needed to test it.
